
Anthony David Gonzalez was born on the 27th of February, 1976 in Torrance, California. Gonzalez was born in southern California. He was a student at Huntington Beach High School and was a star basketball and football player. Gonzalez was a star in both games at the University of California. He led the football team to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. Here, Gonzalez tied the school bowl record of nine receptions. Gonzalez also led the basketball team to Sweet 16 in the NCAA basketball tournament just a few months after. He then left school to enter the 1997 NFL Draft. Gonzalez was picked as the 13th overall pick by the Kansas City Chiefs. Gonzalez was playing for the Chiefs between 1997 and 2008. He was then traded to the Atlanta Falcons. After Gonzalez's first NFL season, he completed at least 59 passes every season.
